It’s always late at night when I start thinking about things.
I need to forget about people who don’t matter and don’t really care. I need to focus on getting rid of everything that causes negativity. It’s easy to read about these things in books, to read about how the characters feel, and think of how much we want to act and feel like them, but when it comes to actually doing it and standing up for yourself, it turns out it has to be in the middle of the night for us to even see clearly. I’m not really good at expressing what I mean in words, but hopefully you know what I’m talking about.
“Night is purer than day; it is better for thinking and loving and dreaming. At night everything is more intense, more true. The echo of words that have been spoken during the day takes on a new and deeper meaning.”
—Elie Wiesel
